We do not require our lawn care clients to transition to a weekly mowing service. There are three reasons for this.

1. Market demand. Simply put, if we did not offer bi-weekly service then clients would find another lawn care company who did. The demand is too great and can not be ignored.

2. Full Schedule. Our schedule stays full from the first of March until the end of November. Most importantly with no major spikes in the summer that require additional employees in an already tough labor market. Even, full, and steady has worked great for us in regards to estimating and planning.

3. Higher margins: We are able to get substantially higher margins on bi weekly yards as compared to mowing them weekly. Folks tend to do math in their heads on a monthly basis, and typically they want a low monthly number. You can give them a lower monthly number while having higher margins per cut if you do it correctly.

If you are in a market where it seems everyone wants biweekly service I would encourage you to look at the benefits that come along with having bi-weekly clients.

Weekly mowing is a good thing, but we do not require it. I have just found there to be many benefits in offering every two week service to our clients.
